Valuation Lists

These were compiled in order to record the value of a property for rating purposes. They are arranged by district, ward, or parish and then by street. Sometimes the lists cover quite a large period as the initial valuation was altered or added to. Later valuation lists for Wolverhampton do not tend to record the names of any individuals.

Assessment number
Name of occupier
Name of owner
Description and situation (address) of property
Values - gross value and rateable value
