The marriage registers have been transcribed up to the end of August 1838, which is the end of a register. Civil registration began on 1st July 1837 so marriages after this date will also have been recorded in more detail in the newer-style registers. Additional information available will include the couple's addresses, ages, occupations, fathers' names and fathers' occupations. Copies of marriage certificates for people married at St Peter's after 1 July 1837 are available from Wolverhampton Register Office.
