David Kendrick, 1877 - 1878

Kendrick was elected as Conservative councillor for St Matthew's Ward in November 1874. He became both alderman and mayor in 1877. He was a prosperous ironmaster who owned Willingsworth blast furnaces, Wednesbury. He was also director of many public companies, a magistrate and a churchwarden for Bushbury parish church. He died at home at Stockwell End, Tettenhall, on 9th June 1887, aged sixty-four.
