This section looks at
the changes in the area's industrial fortunes over the last 200
years or so. Some industries, such as metalwork, have had a defining
influence on the towns of the Black Country. Other industries have
come and gone, whilst in the latter part of the twentieth century
new industries and new economies have developed.
