War is Declared

Just over twenty years after the 'war to end all wars' finished Britain found itself at war with Germany again.

Express and Star, 2nd September 1939

When war was declared in September 1939 the citizens of Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas reflected the views of many British citizens at the time: they were ready to take on the German government.
