Local government in and around Wolverhampton

Sedgley

The northern portion of Sedgley was governed by a Local Board from 1867, whilst the remainder of the town was governed by Coseley Local Board. Sedgley Local Board was replaced by an Urban District Council in 1894.

Wolverhampton Archives has a few records relating to Sedgley Urban District Council, though you are advised to contact Dudley Archives and Local History Service where the majority of the archives are stored.
